Frequently Asked Questions

Why does coffee packaging need a valve?

Roasted coffee keeps releasing carbon dioxide for days after packing. Without a valve the pack swells; with a hole, oxygen gets in and the aroma fades. A one-way valve vents gas without letting air in.

What is the difference between filtered and unfiltered valves?

A filtered valve has a layer that stops coffee dust from clogging it. Where little dust is produced, an unfiltered valve can be used.

How is the valve applied to the packaging?

The valve is heat-sealed to the packaging film. Depending on your volume you can use our manual, semi-automatic or custom assembly machines.

Do you send samples?

Yes. Share your packaging film structure and filling line; we will suggest a suitable valve type and send a free sample.
